Remote work for SKNYPL SKNYPL was commissioned by the IDEA campaign to design a pavilion and exhibition for 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 29), establishing a cohesive vision centered on two critical themes: air pollution and food waste. The scope of SKNYPL’s work was divided into two parts—initial research on the assigned subjects, followed by the architectural development of the pavilion. In developing the installation’s exterior, SKNYPL drew on Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage of reed weaving—a once-flourishing craft preserved by only a handful of communities, including the women of Musakucha village. By employing this traditional technique and using locally sourced materials, the design presents a model for sustainable architecture at international events. Assistance on concetp design, prototyping, render production and complete production by CNC and weaving craft. Remote work.
